The delay of this year's "Park to Park Paddle" definitely didn't diminish the spirit of a group of 100 0r so who made the annual trek from Shattuk Park through Menasha on their way to Lutz Park this Labor Day Weekend.  Strong winds and challenging waves split the group after passing through the lock, and there were several unplanned swimming experiences along the way.  Some opted to end their trip at Ninth Street, while others at Fritse Park, and some braved the conditions and made it to Lutz Park.

The annual "Park to Park Paddle” again this year included a replica of a French voyageur canoe, and two French voyageurs in period dress. It is a prime example of the kind of community events that the Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Parkway project's programming component will encourage.
