A little rain didn't dampen the spirits of artists and admirers last night at a gathering in downtown Menasha celebrating the opening of Bolio. Between a few big raindrops over twenty artists created sidewalk chalk art from that ranged from everyone's favorite summer treat, a watermelon slice, to a likeness of Monet's work. Downtown Menasha has begun to take on a bohemian flair with several galleries, the latest being Bolio. Street parking was scarce, and the sidewalks were busy, as businesses stayed open late last night for what will hopefully be the first of many art walks throughout the year.

The merchants of downtown have shown an incredible spirit of cooperation this summer as they worked together to bring new people to Menasha to see what it has to offer. Events including Sunrunner, Sidewalk Sale, Lighted Parade, and Farm Fresh Market have made downtown Menasha the place to be this summer. Thanks to all the long time businesses and newcomers for making this year a huge success downtown.

Be on the lookout for more on the way with new businesses and new events coming yet this year.
